The Toys

This may be a new addiction, or possibly just the most recent manifestation of my personality. How bad could it be? Everybody loves toys, right? As intellectual creatures we learn through playing with toys and all the possibilities that the toys represent.

Well maybe the PEZ collection has gotten a little out of hand… I estimate over 1000, most of them in their original packages. I prefer to collect them on cards (they are sold either in bags or on cards that hang on hooks) because they display well and the cards themselves are many times very interesting.

Much of the collection is from outside the United States as there are many more types of PEZ sold in Europe and Asia than in the US. I am not sure what sort of cultural statement this makes, but would be an interesting topic to research for a dissertation… imagine the thesis and what defending it would be like.
