The Ties This obsession started in 1989. Unusual ties were difficult to find then. Everyday I wore a suit, mostly dark greys or navy (okay, I had over thirty suits so this was another area of overdoing it a little), a white shirt, and wingtip shoes. So the only way to celebrate the playful side and show some flair was to wear unusual ties. Like all addictions, it started with one, quickly followed by others... I am able to stop buying them for periods of time, but then I walk by a tie rack and...
