International Relations
The
The IRU encourages students to develop conflict resolution skills and to become more deeply aware of the complex issues that underlie human conflicts between the states, nations, societies, ethnic identities, religious allegiances, and political ideologies that must coexist in a fragile and interdependent global environment. Students work collaboratively to prepare for IRU activities and in the process seek to hone their skills as issue researchers, critical thinkers, lucid writers, articulate speakers, effective negotiators, and respected leaders.
Our ultimate goal is to develop the next generation of international citizens, to empower these people by providing information and nurturing the development of communications and diplomatic skills, and to promote peace, equality, and dignity for all humanity.
