Welcome!

The Augustana International Relations Union (formerly known as Augustana Model United Nations) is a student-group at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL.  Members in the group engage in a wide range of activities in an effort to gain a better understanding of the diverse world we live in and learn how everyone can live together more harmoniously.  To find out about the goals of the Augustana International Relations Union, please look at our mission statement.

Activities the group participates in include weekly meetings, attending model international organization conferences across the country, and participating in various lectures, dinners, movies and discussions around Augustana's campus.  The IRU contains student members from a variety of different college departments (Business, Biology, Spanish, Mathematics/Computer Science, etc.) and is not just for students with a Political Science or History major.

Anyone and everyone with an interest in learning more about the world around them in a fun and easy-going enviornment is happily invited to join the Augustana International Relations Union.  If you would like to learn more about the group you can come to a meeting (every Thursday at 6pm in the lounge of Denkmann's basement), contact an IRU officer or contact a club advisor.
