Professional Organizations

Here are some local professional organizations you may be interested in. Each has its own strengths and unique mix of people:

Quad Cities Advertising Federation (QCAF) – This organization is our professional AAF counterpart. This is the largest local group of communications professionals. They bring in many interesting speakers for their monthly meetings which are usually lunch meetings. For students that want to attend these meetings the QCAF can usually find a member that will have you go as their guest (=free lunch).

Public Relations Network of the Quad Cities (PR Network) – This is another large organization of local professionals. They typically hold lunch meetings on the third Thursday of each month. There is a speaker at each meeting covering a different communications topic. Student membership is cheap and lunch is reasonable for student members.

Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – This is a local chapter of the national PRSA organization. This is a smaller group with meetings every two months. Meetings include a speaker.
