E-portfolio Home (2013)

This e-portfolio is presented to the Faculty Welfare Committee (FWC) for the purposes of my tenure review during the winter term of 2013-2014. The contents of this e-portfolio should be viewed as a supplement to the materials prepared for my pre-tenure reviews in 2009 and 2011. Readers are requested to consider the materials prepared across each of my FWC reviews as indicators of my overall performance.

My 2013 case-making statement, as well as the other Summary Documents shown in the right-hand sidebar of this page, provide a broad overview of my accomplishments since 2008, and may serve as an adequate source of information for reviewers who are pressed for time. The statement, in PDF form, includes direct links to evidence supporting claims.

Reviewers wishing to “dig deeper” into my work may peruse the e-portfolio more thoroughly. It includes additional evidence not provided in the case-making statement, including samples of student work, full text of student SRIs, etc. The Tenure Expectations page lists the Education Department’s FWC-approved tenure expectations, and provides evidence that my work has indeed aligned to (and often has surpassed) expectations. The Teaching page provides access to information about my courses, artifacts of student work, and complete SRI forms. The Research page highlights my scholarly pursuits, including full text of relevant manuscripts. TheService page highlights my service to the College and the Rock Island community.
