Dear Friends,
Being part of the Greek Community gives Phi Rhos
the opportunity to create lasting bonds, assume leadership roles, and
become involved on campus and in the community. The Phi Rho Sorority is an
instrument for enriching the social and intellectual aspects of college
life here at Augustana.
We are a sisterhood composed of women from all walks of life. Our members
strive toward the goals of growth as an individual, betterment of school
and community, and the establishment of faith in God. Phi Rho cultivates
and encourages high scholastic and ethical standards. The Sorority also
promotes unity and friendship among women.
Since our sorority was founded, in 1919, there has been a fellowship among
her women that has formed a common bond of friendship and sisterhood.
Although the numbers of our group have changed and grown over the years, we
still stand on the same grounding principles year after year- mature and
honest womanhood that brings credit to the beautiful place we have found
and created in Phi Rho.
Our principles, symbols, and traditions shape our Sorority, but the beauty
within her members is what makes Phi Rho whole. A Phi Rho Girl is beautiful
and strong when she is standing alone, but when all Phi Rho women come
together, a fortress of strength is made with a majestic presence and
spirit of life.

pages. Hopefully, you can discover a little bit of the beauty that all of
us have found in Phi Rho.
