Busy fall awaits Augustana women harriers

It will be a busy fall for the Augustana women's cross country team in 2013 as the Vikings will compete on 10 straight weekends from the opener on August 30 through the NCAA Midwest Regional on November 16.

It will be a busy fall for the Augustana women's cross country team and long-time head coach Fred Whiteside. The Vikings will begin the season on August 30 at the Fighting Bee Opener and will not take a weekend through the time they host the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on November 16 at Saukie Golf Course.

  Whiteside's team will compete 10 straight weeks, including hosting its own Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Friday, September 27 at Saukie. Augustana will go to invitationals at Bradley, Wisconsin Lutheran, St. Ambrose (twice), Loras and Northern Illinois as well as competing at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships.
