With senior George Gogonas (Bowie HS, Austin, Texas) and freshmen Steve Poffenberger (Allegan HS, Paw Paw, Mich.) and Alex Vavra (Gull Lake HS, Dowling, Mich.) each recording two victories, Augustana split a pair of matches on Tuesday, February 2. Against Central of Iowa the only other Augustana victory came at 157 where Zac Holland (West Des Moines Dowling HS, Pleasant Hill, Iowa) beat Zach Beekman 10-5. Holland is tied with Vavra for the team lead in wins with a 23-18 record.

In the Simpson match, freshman Tyler Dempsey (Grant HS, Ingleside, Ill.) beat Cory Stratton at 165 by a score of 7-3. Freshman Hunter Feraco (Gull Lake HS, Battle Creek, Michigan) sealed the team victory with a 7-2 win over Ryan Haworth. Freshman George Papandreou (Waukegan HS, Waukegan, Ill.) finished things off with an 11-4 win over Sam Collora at 285.
