PURPOSE:

To bring in a variety of acts that will unite the Augustana Community in an educational and entertaining environment. The committee is dedicated to exposing individuals to culturally diverse events.

WHAT MAKES THEM SO DIFFERENT:

The Special Events Committee is not structured in regards to the types of events they have. Their events range from game shows, illusionists, musical groups, to theatre productions. They especially value their committee involvement, and find that each member plays an integral role in the success of their programs. Their target audience not only includes the student body, but also relies on individuals from the outside community.

GOALS:

· To provide entertainment to the Augustana community.
· To provide quality entertainment that will promote interaction between the student body and the faculty.
· To make their committee a cohesive and involved group which has a lot of impact on decision making for future programs.

ON THAT NOTE…

The Special Events committee wants to develop future student leaders and allow individuals to learn more about student programming. The Augustana community benefits from their programming as an outlet to view a large variety of entertainment.
