Campus Resources

Augustana resources are available to all students and included in tuition costs.

The Office of International Student Life is the first place where international students and parents may go to get any assistance with adjusting to college life, academics, residential living, or cultural differences. Located in Room 418 of the Center for Student Life.

The Reading/Writing Center provides professional assistance in reading comprehension, writing skills, study skills, time management, test-taking, stress reduction and special needs. Depending on their English writing and reading skills, students may be required to take a one-credit class through the Reading/Writing Center. This will be determined when they register for classes during International Student Orientation. Located in Room 423 of the Center for Student Life.

Student tutors are provided at no additional charge and are available in almost every course. Students should discuss their needs with their faculty member or advisor, who will then secure a tutor. In addition, some courses provide tutoring labs throughout the term. Students may attend these labs when they need assistance.

Campus Ministries provides a range of opportunities for students of all faiths and beliefs. Almost all religions of the world are represented at Augustana. Students needing a ride to the local Buddhist temple or a Muslim mosque or a Jewish synagogue may contact Campus Ministries for assistance.
