It probably isn't a surprise that year after year one of the most popular New Year's resolutions for Americans is to lose weight.    Many here on campus are most likely looking for some ideas on how to finally make this resolution a reality.  Augustana's Wellness Team would like to remind our campus employees about a number of benefits and programs that can help you reach those goals.

On Campus Exercise

Along with a good diet, exercise is a vital component of healthy living.  Augustana hosts 2 great facilities, the PepsiCo Center and the RoyJ. Carver Center, to provide employees, spouses, and students with access to equipment and space for exercise. 

PepsiCo Hours:
Sunday:  11am- 11pm
Monday- Thursday: 6am- 11pm
Friday: 6am- 8pm
Saturday: 9am- 6pm

Carver Open Pool Hours (Winter Term)
Monday-Wednesday.: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
* 7:30-9:30 p.m. (Weeks 1, 2, 9, 10, finals)
Thursday: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Friday: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday: Closed
Schedule subject to change during academic breaks.
Pool closed in summer.

Walk the Campus

Another easy addition to any healthy fitness plan for employees and students is to get out and enjoy the beautiful Augustana campus.  Whether you are enjoying the snow across the landscape, or are anxious for the warmth of the spring sunshine, take time to walk.  Augustana is located on a 115- acre wooded campus that provides multiple walking paths, beautiful nature, and some challenging hills to stretch your muscles just a little more.  If you are just starting a walking plan, or if you have been doing it for years, the Augustana campus can provide just what you need to keep walking.
