Fall Term in Wittenberg, Germany (Fall 2013)

Walk in the footsteps of Luther on Wittenberg Fall Term

The Fall Term in Wittenberg Program is a language immersion program for advanced students of German.  Students will spend 12 weeks in Wittenberg, in eastern Germany, where they will take coursework in Literature, History, Religion, Art History and study of regional culture (Landeskunde).  All courses are taught in German and students must evidence completion of 2nd year German to be eligible for participation.  Students will spend two weeks living at the historical Cranach Herberge before moving into family homestays for the remaining ten weeks of the program.

Program Dates:  August-November 2014

Courses Offered:  German 306, German 324, German 400, History315, Religion 335.  The program includes a Learning Community and PP and PL Learning Perspectives.

This program is open only to full-time Augustana students.  Funds from Augie Choice are available for this program to any student with Junior status (60 credits or more) at the time of the program departure.
