Jennifer Burnham (Geography) attended the Geological Society of America national meeting in Denver, CO October 27-79. She co-organized a paper session titled "Accomplishments, Challenges, and Frontiers in Soil Geomorphology: In Memory of Donald L. Johnson" and presented a paper "A Man and His Mounds: Contributions of Donald L. Johnson to the Field of Mima Mound Research."
Nathan Frank (Physics and Astronomy) presented a contributed talk at the American Physical Society Division of Nuclear Physics meeting. His talk titled "Simulation of a Novel Active Target for Neutron-Unbound State Measurements" described a new detector design simulated by Augustana student researchers. In addition, his summer students Abdul Merhi and Andrew Lulis presented posters at the meeting titled "Segmented Target Design" and "Commissioning a Hodoscope Detector", respectively.
