Faculty News

David Arbesú has two articles that have been accepted for publication this month. The first is entitled "Frontier Chronicles: The Medieval Historiography of Rolando Hinojosa" and will be published in Hispanófila. The second one is "From Pelayo to Belay: The Battle of Covadonga According to Arab Sources" and will be published in the Bulletin of Spanish Studies. Thanks are due to Cyrus Zargar for his (much needed) help with the Arab fonts and original titles!

In June Randall Hall was a resident at the Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music (STEIM) in Amsterdam.  During the trip he also performed at the Karnatic Lab (Amsterdam) the Werstatt für improvisierte Musik (Zürich) and the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano).  The trip was funded in part by an Encore grant from the American Composer's Forum for the premiere of Migration for saxophone and computer by Jason Price.
