Greetings from the Center for Teaching & Learning.

I hope your first week went well and that you are even more excited about teaching than you were a week ago!

While images of Bob Haak and the CVR probably come to mind whenever you hear the "R" word (reflection) I would like to share a resource with you that may help you reflect on what matters to you as a teacher. The Teaching Perspectives Inventory is an online survey which

"can help you collect your thoughts and summarize your ideas about teaching.  It can be useful in examining your own teaching as well as helping clarify the teaching views of other people.

The TPI is quick to complete - it usually takes no more than 10-15 minutes to answer all the questions and to automatically score your results."

In addition to a "Summary of Five Perspectives on 'Good Teaching'," feedback also includes a list of questions that will help you interpret your results and reflect further on your role as a teacher.

Check it out; and let me know if you do!

P.S. If you haven't already done so, please complete the Faculty Needs Assessment Survey! Your input is important!
