Reinvention: A Journal of Undergraduate Research - Call for Papers

Attached is a call for papers for the next volume of Reinvention: A Journal of Undergraduate Research. The journal has gone from strength to strength in its first year with 49,000 hits on the website from almost 8,000 individual visitors, making the journal a fantastic way for undergraduate students to disseminate their work and become an active part of the research culture in this country and internationally.

The journal is on track to publish another two issues of the journal in 2009 alongside a collaborative special issue, which will showcase papers based on research carried out by undergraduate students and staff, with papers written collaboratively, too. They have already had submissions for 2009 from Australia, India, the U.S. and all over the U.K. and they're now getting papers from a good range of subjects including submissions in medicine, engineering, physics and bioscience, as well as numerous papers in the arts and social sciences.

Enter the electronic portfolio, or e-portfolio: a dynamic digital repository plus resume, with full control over what is presented and how it is displayed. Mt. Augustana in the Central Transantarctic Mountains, Antarctic, newly named October 2008

Mount Augustana: A mountain rising to over 2800 meters between the heads of LaPrade Valley and Cheu Valley in northern Cumulus hills, Queen Maud Mountains. The northern slopes of the mountain comprise rugged largely ice-free terrain that descends 1500 meters to McGregor Glacier. The southern part is ice covered and descends gradually to the head of Logie Glacier. Named by US-ACAN (2008) after Augustana College, Rock Island, IL. Augustana College has a long history in polar and glacial geology, with strong ties to Antarctic research. The Fryxell Geology museum at Augustana College is the home of the only fossils of Cryolophosaurus, the largest carnivorous dinosaur found to date in Antarctica.

Mt. Augustana is the highest peak in the middle of the picture.
